Welcome to Stephen Day Design
Bellanico Restaurant is finally open, complete with an almost entirely Stephen Day Design'ed interior! Go for the innovative Italian cuisine; stay because the banquette is just so darned comfortable & good-looking. [Bellanico Restaurant - 4238 Park Blvd., Oakland - 510.336.1180]

There's been residential work in the SDD coffers as well, including this VG Fir and Walnut breakfast bar. The massive legs are milled from 100+ year-old urban salvage timber, and all of the other lumber is Forest Stewardship Council certified.

On the residential tip, a home renovation I've been working on in Menlo Park, Ca is finally wrapping up. See two bathroom vanities we did; one in rift-sawn White Oak, and the other in Khaya Mahogany - nice stuff...

Stephen Day Design teamed up with Alfonso Dominguez of FiveTen Studio to do two big, exciting lighting fixtures for Seison restaurant in Old Oakland. [Seison - 495 10th St., Oakland - 510.832.7449]

I've finally posted some pictures from my last big gallery show - Brick & Mortar: Bay Area Sculpture Abstracts at ProArts Gallery - Oakland, Ca. If you missed it, this was a show I put together of sculptors also working in the craft realm [like myself] - furniture-makers, fabricators, etc.

As always, thanks for your interest in, and support of, Stephen Day Design.
